Program: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group Program

Session Dates:

To be confirmed for second half of 2026

About the program

The course works through the four core components of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. The focus is practical. Each session introduces specific skills that participants can apply between sessions and beyond the program.

Participants receive a DBT treatment manual to work through alongside the group.

Who is it for?

The group is for adults who struggle with intense emotions, find it hard to cope in moments of distress, or notice patterns in their relationships that they want to change. You do not need a diagnosis to attend, you do not need a referral, and you do not need to be an existing client of the practice. If you are already working with a psychologist or therapist, you are welcome to continue seeing them alongside the program.

Cost: $970, payable upfront. This covers the 10-week group program and an initial 20-minute one-on-one session with your facilitator, Nic Fifield. The fee is not rebatable under Medicare.

Capped at 10 participants.
