Kate (she/her) is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar. She was awarded a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Wollongong and completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) – Honours from the University of Southern Queensland.
Kate enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults in an open and collaborative manner to understand their challenges and help them lead more meaningful and connected lives. She describes her style as warm, curious, non- judgemental, with a touch of humour – a safe therapeutic environment to explore often difficult or uncomfortable topics.
Kate has experience in private practice as well as the public mental health system and is trained in autism and ADHD assessment. Kate works collaboratively with her clients to choose which therapy approach will suit them best, drawing on techniques primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive BehaviourTherapy (CBT).
Kate works with a wide range of client concerns and psychological difficulties, including:
